Council Services

The Leed City Council website contains a wealth of up to date information. The website can be accessed at: www.leeds.gov.uk

The following information has been extracted from this website, but is not updated on a daily basis.

Bulky household waste collection

Please contact 0845 1240113 to book a collection date or enquire about the service. We recommend calling between the hours of 12:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday as these times are generally less busy. However, the lines are open between 8:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday.

Defective Street Lighting

Please ring the highways helpline on 0845 124 0113 to report problems or make an enquiry. Please give us as many details as you can, including what the problem is, where the lamp is and the lamp column number if possible. You will also need to give your name and address.
Faults can also be reported by email using the following address: highways@leeds.gov.uk

Crime and anti-social behaviour

The Council has a leaflet of anti-social behaviour advice, which can be downloaded from the council website. Many criminal acts are also classed as anti-social behaviour - for example vandalism, drug dealing, abusive language and abusive behaviour. The council's anti-social behaviour unit will take action against the person committing such acts, but you should always contact the police first. Telephone 0845 6060606 to report any crime to the police, but if the crime is in progress or there is a danger to someone's life, ring 999.

Graffiti

The local authority is responsible for removing graffiti from its own assets including public buildings, monuments, street furniture etc. Items such as telephone boxes, bus shelters and electricity boxes are the responsibility of the private companies. Private buildings are not the local authority's responsibility although, in common with many other authorities, Leeds City Council often assists with removal.

To report graffiti, please telephone 0845 124 0113 giving your details and the exact location of the graffiti? (e.g. on the wall opposite the parade of shops on Church Lane). This information can also be emailed to the following address: refuse@leeds.gov.uk

Every effort has been made to try to ensure that the information provided on this website is correct. If it is felt that any detail is incorrect, please contact us at chair@westparkresidents.org.uk
